As part of BEC’s digital transformation enabling focus on core business values, BEC outsourced a part of their IT portfolio. The transformation project was conducted from August 2024 to November 2025 and included separate transformation waves for the system portfolio in scope with a focus on driving the transformation.
In addition, a new Vendor Management function to manage BEC’s vendors including the Master Services Agreement (MSA), ensuring control, compliance and commercial benefits was designed and implemented during the project.
Carve were responsible for the process stream assisting BEC in designing and implementing an ITIL process framework tailored to BEC’s governance structure in close collaboration with the vendor. This included adapting standard processes to fit BEC’s context, defining responsibilities and interfaces between outsourcing vendor and BEC, and implementing the new operating model. We supported the Statement of Work (SOW) process in the BEC transition stream, helping to design and negotiate application scope with the outsourcing vendor for the system portfolio in scope.
In parallel, Carve designed and established the Vendor Management function, including services, processes, and SOPs. The services in scope were Vendor Strategy Services, Contract Management Services, Governance Services, Contract Finance Services, Analytics Services, Transformation Services and Risk & Compliance Services. During the transition Carve supported BEC and the outsourcing vendor in identifying data points for reporting, contract, and obligation management.
An experienced team specializing in SIAM/ITIL, Procurement, Process Management, and Vendor Management worked closely with BEC’s management and specialized units. The team provided a detailed progression plan with regular touchpoints and evaluations to prioritize deliverables. Throughout the project, the team supported change management, implementation, advisory services, and onboarding of the new Vendor Management team.
In close collaboration with BEC, Carve designed and implemented end-to-end processes that support BEC’s ambition to focus on core business and develop demand capabilities.
